Flood conditions have emerged in four districts of Odisha—Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj, according to Special Relief Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil. Rising water levels in the Baitarani and Budhabalanga rivers have affected several areas, while floodwater has entered Baripada city. Around 3,000 people have been evacuated due to flooding in the Subarnarekha River, and relief centres have been opened across 45 panchayats in the four affected districts. Ten ODRAF teams and seven NDRF teams have been deployed for rescue and relief operations, with senior officers assigned to monitor the situation. The Water Resources Department has said there is currently no major flood threat in the Subarnarekha and Brahmani rivers.
