Floodwaters Enter Balasore City as Budhabalanga River Swells Amid Heavy Rain

ବାଲେଶ୍ବରରେ କମୁନି ବର୍ଷାର ତାଣ୍ଡବ। ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷାରୁ କମୁନି ବୁଢ଼ାବଳଙ୍ଗ ନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଉପରେ ଏବେ ବି ଜଳକା ପ୍ରବାହିତ। ବୁଢ଼ାବଳଙ୍ଗର ପାଣି ଏବେ ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ସହର ଭିତରକୁ ପଶିଛି। ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ସହରର ୧୨ ନମ୍ବର ଓ୍ୱାର୍ଡରେ ଏବେ ୨ ଫୁଟର ପାଣି। ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ହୋଇ ରହିଛନ୍ତି। ବୁଢ଼ାବଳଙ୍ଗ ସତର୍କ ସଙ୍କେତ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଥିବା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଜନବସତି ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ କାୟା ବିସ୍ତାର କରୁଛି।
The flood situation in Balasore continues to worsen as heavy rain shows no signs of easing and the water level of the Budhabalanga River remains high. Floodwaters have now entered Balasore city, with around two feet of water reported in Ward No. 12, leaving several residents waterlogged. The Jalaka River is also flowing above the danger mark. As the Budhabalanga continues to flow above the warning level, floodwaters are gradually spreading into residential areas. Several villages in Balasore Sadar and Remuna blocks remain surrounded by floodwater, while Balasore city has also been affected by the worsening flood situation.
