Mother Fights Off Hyena to Save 4-Year-Old Daughter in Malkangiri

ହେଟା କବଳରୁ ନିଜ ଛୁଆକୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଇଲା ମାଆ। ମାଲକାନଗିରି ମାଥିଲି ବ୍ଲକ ଜନ୍ଦ୍ରାଗୁଡ଼ା ଗାଁରେ ଘଟିଛି ଅଭାବନୀୟ ଘଟଣା। ଗାଁର ୪ ବର୍ଷର ଶିଶୁ ଘର ବାରଣ୍ଡାରେ ଶୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ହଠାତ୍ ଜଙ୍ଗଲରୁ ଏକ ହେଟା ବାଘ ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଯିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରିଥିଲା। ଝିଅକୁ ବାଘ କବଳରେ ଦେଖି ମା’ ମେକେ ମାଡ଼କାମୀ ଭୟଭୀତ ନହୋଇ ସାହସର ସହ ବାଘର ସାମନା କରିଥିଲେ। ନିଜ ଜୀବନକୁ ବାଜି ଲଗାଇ ବାଘ ସହ ଲଢ଼େଇ କରି ମାଆ ନିଜ ଝିଅକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲେ।

A mother displayed extraordinary courage to save her four-year-old daughter from a hyena in Jandraguda village under Mathili block of Malkangiri district. According to the source, the child was sleeping on the veranda of her house when a hyena suddenly emerged from the forest and attempted to carry her away. Seeing her daughter in danger, the mother, identified as Meke Madkami, bravely confronted the animal without fear. Risking her own life, she fought with the hyena and managed to rescue her daughter.
