Baitarani River Swells Further as Flood Misery Continues in Jajpur

ପୁଣି ବଢ଼ି ଚାଲିଛି ବୈତରଣୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ଏବେ ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି ବୈତରଣୀ । ସେପଟେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ବି ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ଫଳରେ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯାଉନି ବନ୍ୟା କି କମୁନି ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା। ଗୋଟେ ପଟେ କାଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ଘାଇ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇ ପାଣି ଚାଲିଥିବା ବେଳେ ବରୀ ବ୍ଲକର ବାଙ୍କ ସାହି ଚନ୍ଦନପୁର ଆରୁଆଳରେ ପୂର୍ବ ବନ୍ୟାର ଘାଇରେ ପାଣି ଚାଲୁଛି। ସେପଟେ ବିଂଝାରପୁରରେ ଶାଖା ନଦୀ ନୂଆ ମାହାରା ନଦୀ ର ଘାଇରେ ବି ପାଣି ଚାଲୁଛି।
The flood situation continues to remain grim as the water level of the Baitarani River rises again and flows above the danger mark. The Brahmani River is also flowing above the danger level, prolonging the flood crisis and the suffering of affected people. Water continues to flow through a breach in the Kani River, while earlier flood breaches in Bank Sahi, Chandanpur and Arual areas of Bari block remain active. In Binjharpur, floodwater is also flowing through a breach in the branch river Nuamahara. As a result, several villages across around 15 panchayats in three blocks remain marooned, with no significant improvement in the condition of flood-affected residents.
