The Food Safety Department has conducted raids on food stalls near Durga Puja pandals to check food quality and hygiene. Officials inspected food items over concerns about stale food, the use of artificial colours and unhygienic preparation.

Stall operators have been warned that selling stale food, using poor-quality cooking oil or adding colours to food could lead to their stalls being sealed.

The inspections aim to check food safety and hygiene at stalls operating near Durga Puja pandals.
