Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik thanked Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for the resumption of college student elections after an eight-year gap. He said the elections were conducted in a disciplined manner due to the Chief Minister’s initiative. Addressing thousands of young people at Kataka Stadium, Mallik stressed the importance of engaging youth in various activities and encouraging their participation in politics.

Mallik said educated young men and women entering politics would contribute to the country’s development. He also stated that India’s development depends on the active participation of its youth and said the double-engine government supports the aspirations of Gen Z.

He questioned why student union elections had remained suspended for eight years and claimed that ABVP-backed organisations had won in most colleges.
