Gas Discovery Off Konark Coast! ONGC Strikes Gas in Mahanadi Offshore Basin

#କୋଣାର୍କ_ଉପକୂଳରେ_ଗ୍ୟାସ୍_ଭଣ୍ଡାର
ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଉପକୂଳରେ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ଗ୍ୟାସର ଭଣ୍ଡାର। କୋଣାର୍କ ଉପକୂଳରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୩ କିଲୋମିଟର ଦୂର ମହାନଦୀ ଗଭୀର ସମୁଦ୍ର ବେସିନରେ ଗ୍ୟାସ ଭଣ୍ଡାର ଆବିଷ୍କାର କରିଛି ONGC। ଏହି କୂଅକୁ ୧୬ ଶହ ୨୩ ମିଟର ଗଭୀରତା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଖନନ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଗତ ୩ ଦିନ ଧରି ଏହି କୂଅରୁ ଉତ୍ସାହଜନକ ଭାବେ ଗ୍ୟାସ ନିର୍ଗତ ହେଉଛି।

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has struck natural gas at a deepwater well in the Mahanadi Offshore Basin, around 43 km off the Konark coast of Odisha. The well, MN-DW18-1-H-D, was drilled to a target depth of 1,623 metres, with gas encountered at the 1,441–1,452 metre interval. ONGC said the well has been flowing gas with encouraging flow and reservoir pressure for the past three days. The discovery was made on September 18, 2026, under the Samudra Manthan exploration campaign.
