Gyanesh Kumar’s Resignation Sought, Opposition and Student Groups Protest in Delhi

#ଜ୍ଞାନେଶ_କୁମାରଙ୍କ_ବିରୋଧରେ_ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ_ହଲ୍ଲାବୋଲ୍
ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନର ଜ୍ଞାନେଶ କୁମାରଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ହଲ୍ଲାବୋଲ୍ । ଜ୍ଞାନେଶ କୁମାରଙ୍କ ଇସ୍ତଫା ଦାବିରେ ଆପ୍ ଓ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ସମେତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଛାତ୍ର ସଂଗଠନର ବଡ଼ ବିକ୍ଷୋଭ । ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲେ ବ୍ୟାରିକେଡ୍, ପୋଲିସ ବସରେ ଚଢି କଲେ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ । ବିକ୍ଷୋଭରେ AAP ବ୍ୟତୀତ NSUI, AISA ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଛାତ୍ର ଓ ସାମାଜିକ ସଂଗଠନ ମଧ୍ୟ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି । ଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଯୁବ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ର ବଞ୍ଚାଅ ନାଁରେ କ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡେଲ୍ ରାଲି ମଧ୍ୟ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଆଶୋକା ରୋଡ୍ ନିକଟରୁ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନକାରୀମାନେ ଜନ୍ତର ମନ୍ତର ଅଭିମୁଖେ ରାଲି କରିଥିଲେ। ଶୋଭାଯାତ୍ରା ଜନ୍ତରମନ୍ତର ଅଭିମୁଖେ ଆଗକୁ ବଢ଼ିବାରୁ ପୋଲିସ ଓ ରାପିଡ୍ ଆକ୍ସନ୍ ଫୋର୍ସ ମୁତୟନ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। କିଛି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନକାରୀ ଓ ସୁରକ୍ଷାକର୍ମୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଧସ୍ତାଧସ୍ତି ମଧ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ଗେଟ୍ ନିକଟରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ବିକ୍ଷୋଭରେ AAP ଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ସୌରଭ ଭରଦ୍ୱାଜ ଓ ବିଧାୟକ ସଞ୍ଜୀବ ଝାଙ୍କ ସମେତ ୨୫ରୁ ଅଧିକ କର୍ମୀଙ୍କୁ ପୋଲିସ ଅଟକ କରିଥିବା ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଛି । ପୋଲିସ ମାଡ଼ ମାରିଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି ସୌରଭ ଭରଦ୍ୱାଜ। ବିକ୍ଷୋଭର ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ୧୫୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ଅଟକ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଶୁକ୍ରବାର ମଧ୍ୟ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ହୋଇଥିବା ବିକ୍ଷୋଭରେ ୫୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଅଟକ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। SIR ସମ୍ପର୍କିତ କିଛି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତିକୁ ନେଇ ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନ ଭିତରେ ମତଭେଦ ଥିବା ନେଇ ଏକ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇବା ପରେ ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳ ଓ ଛାତ୍ର ସଂଗଠନଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଜ୍ଞାନେଶ କୁମାରଙ୍କ ଇସ୍ତଫା ଦାବି କରି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ଜୋରଦାର କରିଛନ୍ତି । ତେବେ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ନେଇ ପୋଲିସର ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ମିଳିପାରିନି ।

Protests were held in Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, with the AAP, Congress and several student organisations taking part. Protesters attempted to march towards Jantar Mantar, with barricades broken at some places and clashes reported between protesters and security personnel. AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj and MLA Sanjeev Jha were among those reportedly detained during a protest near India Gate. The Delhi Youth Congress also held a candlelight march under the banner of ‘Save Democracy’. The protests have intensified amid allegations and reports concerning disagreements within the Election Commission over decisions related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Election Commission has rejected allegations of wrongdoing and maintained that its decisions were taken through due process.
