A protest was held outside the Jajpur Collector's office over eight demands, with residents expressing anger over repeated flooding in the Baitarani River and a breach in the Kani River that has reportedly remained open for months.
Residents of 19 panchayats under Dasarathpur block have alleged that recurring floods are affecting their lives and property. They have demanded immediate and permanent repair of the Kani River breach to prevent further flooding.
