BJD MLA Arun Sahu has claimed that Naveen Patnaik’s recent visit to flood-hit Ganjam has won the hearts of the people. Criticising the state government’s flood relief measures, Sahu said government assistance was negligible and alleged that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi lacked the courage to visit the affected areas on the ground. He also criticised the CM for conducting an aerial survey and visiting Delhi during the crisis.

Sahu claimed that people were voluntarily gathering to welcome Naveen Patnaik, unlike BJP leaders whose visits allegedly involved organised programmes. He said the people’s support for the BJD was growing and claimed that the government would face public anger over the tears of flood-affected people.

The BJD MLA described the public response to Naveen Patnaik’s Ganjam visit as a clear indication of the slogan, “Naveen Again”.
