The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclone by October 26. The system is expected to reach near the South Odisha coast by the morning of October 28, with wind speeds potentially reaching 90 kmph.

The wind speed may increase as the system moves closer to the coast and could intensify further before crossing the land. However, the IMD has not yet forecast the wind speed at landfall.

The possible cyclone's track and wind speed are expected to become clearer after the system intensifies into a depression tomorrow. Rainfall along the Odisha coast is likely to increase from October 26.
