Odisha teacher aspirants have begun an indefinite hunger strike after discussions with the government failed to resolve their demands. The Odisha Aspiring Teachers’ Association, which has been protesting since August 17, took the decision to launch the hunger strike at its protest site in Bhubaneswar.

The aspirants had held discussions with the School and Mass Education Minister but said their demands were not addressed. Following the unsuccessful talks, the association decided to intensify its agitation through a hunger strike.
