ଗାଁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବିଶ୍ବାସରେ ବିଷ ଦେଲେ ପୋଷ୍ଟମାଷ୍ଟର। ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳ ଗରିବ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ଚାଲାଖି କରି ଲକ୍ଷ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ନେଇ ଚମ୍ପଟ ମାରିଛି ବ୍ରାଞ୍ଚ ପୋଷ୍ଟ ମାଷ୍ଟର। ଏଭଳି ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଛି କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ମାହାଙ୍ଗା ବ୍ଲକ ଶୁକ୍ଲେଶ୍ବରରେ। ଲକ୍ଷ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ଲୁଟି ନେଇ ଫେରାର ହୋଇଯାଇଛି ବ୍ରାଞ୍ଚ ପୋଷ୍ଟ ମାଷ୍ଟର ସୁରଜ ମହାନ୍ତି। ଏନେଇ ଜମାକାରୀ ମାନେ ମାହାଙ୍କା ପୋଲିସକୁ ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳଙ୍କ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଶୁଣାଣିରେ ଗୁହାରି କରିଥିଲେ। ତେବେ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ପରେ ପୋଲିସ ଘଟଣାର ତଦନ୍ତ କରୁଛି। ଖୁବଶୀଘ୍ର ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତକୁ ଧରିବା ସହ ଜମାକାରୀଙ୍କ ଟଙ୍କା ଫେରିପାଇବା ନେଇ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନିଆଯିବ ବୋଲି ସାଲେପୁର ଉପଖଣ୍ଡ ପୋଲିସ ଅଧିକାରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି।

A branch postmaster has allegedly betrayed the trust of villagers by collecting lakhs of rupees from poor people in rural areas and fleeing with the money. The incident has been reported from Shukleswar under Mahanga block in Cuttack district. Branch Postmaster Suraj Mahanti has allegedly gone missing after taking money from depositors. The depositors approached Mahanga Police and also raised their grievances during the District Collector’s public hearing. Following the Collector’s direction, police are investigating the matter. The Salepur Sub-Divisional Police Officer said steps would be taken to nab the accused soon and to help depositors recover their money.
