Puri Police have launched a special crackdown on unregistered tour and travel agencies ahead of the tourist season. Raids were conducted in the Sea Beach, Baliapanda and Town police station areas, targeting illegally operated tourist offices and shops running from cabins. Police removed signboards and hoardings of unauthorised establishments following repeated complaints of tourists being cheated. The drive aims to protect visitors and ensure safer tourism in Puri.
