Senior politician Soumya Ranjan Patnaik has launched a sharp attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), calling it a “selling party”. Patnaik said that after he was expelled from the party, nobody came forward to speak up. He questioned the functioning of a party whose leaders, according to him, do not hesitate to make themselves “bonded slaves”.

Patnaik's remarks are a strong criticism of the BJD and its leadership. He questioned why no one raised their voice after his expulsion and used strong language while describing the party's internal political culture.
