Ganesh Puja celebrations across Odisha have turned into a vibrant showcase of creativity, with unique themes and artistic pandals drawing attention along with the worship of Lord Ganesha. In Bhubaneswar’s Saheed Nagar, a ‘Kantara’-inspired pandal features bamboo structures, colourful Chhau masks and a giant representation of Panchurli Dev, while Sijua showcases a royal Panchala palace theme. MLA Colony presents the ‘Wheel of Time’ with glimpses of Mahaprabhu’s Choudha Besha, while Satya Nagar highlights the unique association of Gajanan and Chakranayan. In Cuttack, waste materials have been creatively used for a Ganesh pandal, carrying an environmental message and showcasing glimpses of Bali Yatra. Talcher has over 100 pandals with varied themes, while Nandapur in Koraput features a nearly 10-foot stone-carved Ganesh idol. From traditional inspirations to creative installations, the celebrations show how one festival is being presented through many distinctive themes.
