A deadly snakebite scare has gripped parts of Odisha after floodwaters receded. In Bonai, Sundargarh, a grandfather and his grandson died after being bitten by a venomous snake while sleeping. In another tragic incident, a 7-year-old boy and his 10-year-old sister died after suspected snakebites while sleeping at their home in Hatiauda village under Chandiposh police limits. The report says four people lost their lives to snakebites in Sundargarh in a single day, while six deaths were reported from Balasore to Bhadrak.
