Telengiri Reservoir Water Discharge Continues Amid Heavy Rain in Koraput

ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟ ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଲାଗି ରହିଥିବା ଲଗାତାର ବର୍ଷା ମଧ୍ୟରେ କୋରାପୁଟ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ତେଲେଙ୍ଗୀ ଜଳଭଣ୍ଡାରରୁ ଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଜାରି ରହିଛି।

Amid continuous rainfall in southern Odisha under the influence of a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, water discharge from Telengiri Reservoir in Koraput district is continuing. According to the Telengiri Canal Division at Ambaguda, the reservoir water level is around 631.30 metres, nearly 87% of its total capacity. With an average inflow of around 2.5 cumecs, a total of 15.73 cumecs is being discharged through Spillway Gate No. 2 and the canal. The Water Resources Department is closely monitoring the situation in view of the possibility of heavy rainfall. While water management at the reservoir remains under control, people living in riverbank areas have been advised to remain cautious.
