Tiger Skin Seized in Jeypore; Gujarat DRI Team Arrests One

A Gujarat DRI team conducted a surprise raid in Jeypore in Koraput district and arrested one person on allegations of tiger skin trafficking. The arrested person has been identified as Bibhuti Bhushan Patra, son of Trilochan Patra and a resident of Irrigation Colony in Jeypore. During the raid, officials seized a full leopard skin measuring 141 cm in body length and 98 cm in tail length. A blue bag, a car allegedly used for smuggling and a mobile phone were also seized. The accused and all seized items were handed over to the Jeypore Forest Department for further legal action and investigation.
