CJPର ଏମର୍ଜେନ୍ସୀ ଆରୋପକୁ କଡ଼ା କାଉଣ୍ଟର କଲେ ବିଜେପି ସାଂସଦ ସୁଧାଂଶୁ ତ୍ରିବେଦୀ । ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ପିଢ଼ି ଏମର୍ଜେନ୍ସୀ ଜାଣିନାହାନ୍ତି। ୧ କିମି ପରିଧିରେ ବ୍ୟାରିକେଡ୍ ଲଗାଇବା ଏମର୍ଜେନ୍ସୀ କି ବୋଲି ପଚାରିଛନ୍ତି। ଆହୁରି କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଏମର୍ଜେନ୍ସି ପ୍ରକୃତରେ କଣ ତାହା ଆମେ କେବଳ ଶୁଣିଛୁ, ମାତ୍ର ଅଙ୍ଗେ ନିଭାଇଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଏବେ ବଞ୍ଚିଛନ୍ତି। ଆଜି ଆପଣ ଯେ କୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବସି ପିଏମ୍ ଙ୍କୁ ସମାଲୋଚନା କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଭିତ୍ତିହୀନ ଆରୋପ ମଧ୍ୟ ଲଗାଇ ପାରୁଛନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ଇନ୍ଦିରାଙ୍କ ଏମର୍ଜେନ୍ସୀ ବେଳେ 'DIR' ବୋଲି ଏକ ପ୍ରୋଭିଜନ ଥିଲା। ଏହାଦ୍ବାରା ଯେ କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଜେଲ୍ ରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କରାଯାଉଥିଲା। ଜାମିନ୍ ଆବେଦନ ପାଇଁ କୋର୍ଟ ଯିବାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନୁମତି ନଥିଲା। ମାତ୍ର ବିଗତ ଅଢ଼େଇ ବର୍ଷରେ ଦେଶ ଦ୍ରୁତଗତିରେ ଅଭିବୃଦ୍ଧି କରୁଛି। ଡିଜିଟାଲ ଟ୍ରାଞ୍ଜାକସନ୍ ରେ ସାରା ବିଶ୍ବରେ ନମ୍ବର ୧ ହୋଇପାରିଛୁ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ସୁଧାଂଶୁ ।

BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has strongly countered the CJP’s allegations of an undeclared Emergency, saying that the present generation does not understand what the Emergency was really like. Questioning whether barricading an area within a one-kilometre radius amounts to an Emergency, he said that while many people today have only heard about that period, those who experienced it are still alive. Trivedi pointed out that people can now criticise the Prime Minister publicly and make allegations against him, whereas during Indira Gandhi’s Emergency, provisions under the Defence of India Rules (DIR) could be used to imprison people without allowing them to approach courts for bail, he claimed. He also said that India had witnessed rapid growth over the past two-and-a-half years and had become the world’s number one country in digital transactions.
