କଂଗ୍ରେସର 'ଭୋଟ୍ ଚୋରି' ଅଭିଯୋଗକୁ ଶାହଙ୍କ କଡା କାଉଣ୍ଟର । ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସହ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଉଦାହରଣ ଦେଇ କଂଗ୍ରେସକୁ କଟାକ୍ଷ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଗୃହମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶାହ। କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଆମେ ତ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରରେ ୨୦୧୪ରୁ କ୍ଷମତାକୁ ଆସିଛୁ । ମାତ୍ର ତାମିଲନାଡୁରେ ୫୯, ବେଙ୍ଗଲରେ ୪୯ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା କଂଗ୍ରେସ କ୍ଷମତାକୁ ଆସିନି । ସିକ୍କିମ୍ ରେ ୪୨, ୟୁପିରେ ୩୭, ବିହାରରେ ୩୬ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା କ୍ଷମତାରେ ନାହିଁ କଂଗ୍ରେସ। ସେହିପରି ଗୁଜରାଟରେ ୩୦, ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ୨୬, ନାଗାଲାଣ୍ଡରେ ୨୩ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ଦଳ କ୍ଷମତାଠୁ ଦୂରରେ ରହିଛି । ମହାରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ୧୨ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା କଂଗ୍ରେସ ଶାସନ ଗାଦିରେ ବସିନି। ଭୋଟ୍ ଚୋରି ପାଇଁ କଣ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ସେସବୁ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ କ୍ଷମତାକୁ ଆସିନି ବୋଲି କହି ତାଚ୍ଛଲ୍ୟ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଶାହ। ଏଥିସହ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଯଦି ଭୋଟ୍ ଚୋରି ପାଇଁ ହାରୁଛ, ଚୋରି କରୁଥିବା ଦଳ ତ ତମ ସହିତ ଅଛି। ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଜି ଇଣ୍ଡି ମେଣ୍ଟର ସଦସ୍ୟ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ହାରିବା ପାଇଁ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ଆତ୍ମଚିନ୍ତନ କରିବା ଦରକାର ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ଶାହ।

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has strongly countered Congress’s allegations of “vote chori” (vote theft), citing examples from Odisha and several other states to question the party’s electoral performance. Shah pointed out that the BJP came to power at the Centre in 2014, while Congress has remained out of power in Tamil Nadu for 59 years, West Bengal for 49 years, Sikkim for 42 years, Uttar Pradesh for 37 years, Bihar for 36 years, Gujarat for 30 years, Odisha for 26 years, Nagaland for 23 years and Maharashtra for 12 years, according to his remarks. He questioned whether vote theft was responsible for Congress’s inability to return to power in these states. Shah also argued that if electoral manipulation were the reason for Congress’s defeats, the parties allegedly involved would now be part of the INDIA bloc. He said Congress should introspect to understand the reasons behind its electoral losses.
