1.72 Lakh Cases, Just 17 Judges: Odisha High Court Faces Major Judicial Crisis

ଓଡ଼ିଶା ହାଇକୋର୍ଟରେ ୧ ଲକ୍ଷ ୭୨ ହଜାର ମାମଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ବିଚାରପତି ମାତ୍ର ୧୭ ଜଣ। ନିମ୍ନ ଅଦାଲତଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ବି ଗଡ଼ିଚାଲିଛି ୧୮ ଲକ୍ଷରୁ ଅଧିକ ମାମଲା ଏବଂ ଖାଲି ପଡ଼ିଛି ୩୨୯ ବିଚାରପତି ପଦବୀ। ଜଜ୍ ଅଭାବ, ପେଣ୍ଡିଂ କେସ୍ ଓ ତାରିଖ ପରେ ତାରିଖ ଭିତରେ ନ୍ୟାୟିକ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ସ୍ଥିତି କ’ଣ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ ପୂରା ରିପୋର୍ଟ।
Odisha’s High Court has 1.72 lakh pending cases but only 17 working judges against 33 sanctioned posts. Lower courts are also struggling with over 18.74 lakh pending cases and 329 vacant judge positions.
