Andhra Pradesh Police have intensified security measures in the border villages of Kotia by strengthening police picketing and patrolling. A police team led by Parvathipuram Manyam district DSP Venkata Sishaya visited the Kotia region to review security arrangements and also held discussions with Odisha Police. The development has drawn attention after Odisha Police recently set up temporary check posts and barricades at various locations in Kotia. The increased police activity on both sides has sparked fresh discussion over the sensitive border region.
