Cyclone Arnab is expected to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm by Tuesday and make landfall near Bapatla and Yanam in Andhra Pradesh around Wednesday noon. Wind speeds at landfall are forecast to reach 120–125 kmph. South Odisha is likely to face the impact on October 27 and 28, prompting weather warnings.

A red alert has been issued for five districts, while 11 districts are under an orange alert. The approaching system is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rainfall, particularly affecting southern parts of Odisha.

Residents in vulnerable and coastal areas should remain alert and follow official weather advisories as the cyclone approaches.
