Armed Robbery in Bhadrak: Six Miscreants Loot Gold Worth ₹12 Lakh, Gunshots Fired

A major robbery was reported in Kantika village under Raipur Panchayat in Bhadrak district's Dhamnagar-Dhusuri area. Six miscreants arrived on two motorcycles, allegedly broke into the house of Pitabas Rout and carried out the robbery before opening fire. They reportedly assaulted the homeowner with sticks and threatened the family with guns and a machete. Gold jewellery worth around ₹12 lakh and ₹40,000 in cash were allegedly looted. Dhusuri Police, a scientific team and a sniffer dog reached the spot and launched an investigation. Some empty cartridges were also reportedly recovered from the scene.
