BJD Warns of Economic Blockade Over MMDR Law, Demands Its Withdrawal

MMDR ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅର୍ଥନୈତିକ ଅବରୋଧ କରିବ ବିଜେଡି। ପ୍ରେସମିଟ୍ କରି ଏହି ଚେତାବନୀ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ବିଜେଡି ବିଧାୟକ ଅରୁଣ ସାହୁ। MMDR ଆଇନ୍ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାହାର କର, ନଚେତ୍ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ କରିବୁ ବୋଲି କହିଛି ବିଜେଡି। ଅର୍ଥନୈତିକ ଅବରୋଧ, ବାଣିଜ୍ୟିକ ଅବରୋଧ ସହ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ କରାଯିବ। ୨୦୦୫ରୁ ୨୦୨୬ ଯାଏ ବାକିଆ ୧ ଲକ୍ଷ ୨୦ ହଜାର କୋଟି ରାଜ୍ୟ ହରାଇଲା। ଖଣି, ଖଣିଜ ସମ୍ପଦ ଥିଲା ବୋଲି ପୁଞ୍ଜି ନିବେଶକାରୀ ରାଜ୍ୟକୁ ଆସୁଥିଲେ। ସେ କ୍ଷମତା ଯେତେବେଳେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପାଖକୁ ଗଲା, ଆଉ ରାଜ୍ୟକୁ ଆସିବେ ତ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରିଛି ବିଜେଡି।

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has warned of an economic blockade and agitation over the MMDR issue. Addressing a press conference, BJD MLA Arun Sahu demanded the withdrawal of the MMDR law, warning that the party would launch an agitation if the demand is not met. The BJD said the protest could include economic and commercial blockades. It also claimed that Odisha has lost around ₹1.20 lakh crore in dues from 2005 to 2026.
