ଧାନ ଚାଷରେ ରୋଗ ପୋକ। ଧାନ ଗଛରୁ କେଣ୍ଡା ବାହାରିବା ସମୟରେ ଗଛର ପତ୍ର ମଉଳି ମରିଯାଉଛି। ଗଞ୍ଜାମ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥପ୍ରସାଦ ବ୍ଲକ ପ୍ରତାପପୁର ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଧାନଚାଷ ଜମିରେ ରୋଗପୋକ ଦେଖାଦେଇଛି। ଜମିରେ ଚକଡ଼ା ହୋଇ ଧାନଗଛ ହଳଦିଆ ପଡ଼ିବା ସହ ପତ୍ର ଶୁଖିଯାଉଥିବାରୁ ଚାଷୀମାନେ ଚିନ୍ତାରେ ପଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି। କୃଷି ବିଭାଗର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଚାଷ ଜମି ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପରିଦର୍ଶନରେ ଆସୁନଥିବାରୁ ରୋଗର କାରଣ ଓ ନିରାକରଣ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ଚାଷୀ ମାନେ ଜାଣି ପାରୁନଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ହୋଇଛି। ତୁରନ୍ତ କୃଷି ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଜମି ପରିଦର୍ଶନ କରାଯାଇ ରୋଗ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ସହ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଓ ପ୍ରତିକାର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରିବାକୁ ଚାଷୀମାନେ ଦାବି କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏନଇ ପ୍ରଶାସନର ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ମିଳିପାରିନାହିଁ।

Farmers in different areas of Pratappur under Jagannathprasad block in Ganjam are worried over disease and pest attacks in paddy fields. As the paddy plants reach the panicle emergence stage, their leaves are reportedly wilting and drying up. Farmers have also alleged that patches of paddy plants are turning yellow and drying in the fields. They claim that Agriculture Department officials have not been visiting the affected farmlands, leaving them without information about the cause of the problem and suitable remedies. Farmers have demanded an immediate field inspection, identification of the disease and appropriate advice and preventive measures from the Agriculture Department. No response from the administration has been received on the matter so far.
