A Ganesh idol was allegedly stolen from Chandrachud Mahadev Temple in Katapali village under Binika police limits in Subarnapur district late at night. Villagers caught the alleged thief while he was fleeing and informed the police. Police later reached the village, arrested the accused and recovered the Ganesh idol, a temple bell and a jagar lamp. The incident drew attention as the alleged thief’s name is Musa, meaning mouse, while villagers have submitted a written complaint seeking strict action.
