A fatal series of road accidents involving three vehicles occurred on National Highway 26 near Nabin Chhak under Saintala police station limits in Balangir district, Odisha, claiming the life of one driver on the spot. According to the report, a truck loaded with iron materials was travelling from Bhawanipatna towards Balangir, while a Vedanta vehicle was heading from Balangir towards Kalahandi when the two vehicles collided head-on. Following the initial collision, one vehicle reportedly lost control while attempting to give way to another vehicle and plunged into a roadside field. Another truck then rammed into the truck carrying iron materials, resulting in a three-vehicle pile-up. The drivers of the other two trucks reportedly fled the scene after the accident. The incident has raised concerns over road safety on this stretch of National Highway 26.
