Mandeep K. Bhandari has been appointed the new Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), replacing Lokhande Prashant Sitaram. The appointment was made by the Central Government as part of an administrative reshuffle on Friday. A 2001-batch IAS officer, Bhandari is currently serving as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. He will lead the CBSE in overseeing examinations, evaluation and other administrative functions related to school education.
