Selfie Turns Fatal Amid Floods, Two Go Missing in Odisha

ରାଜ୍ୟର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବର୍ଷା ବନ୍ୟା ଭିତରେ କାଳ ସାଜିଲା ସେଲ୍ଫି। କଟକ ନରସିଂହପୁର ସିଧାମୂଳା ସେତୁରେ ଅଘଟଣ ମୋବାଇଲରେ ଫଟୋ ଉଠାଇବାବେଳେ ତଳକୁ ଖସି ପଡ଼ି ଜଣେ ଯୁବକ ନିଖୋଜ ହୋଇଯାଇଛନ୍ତି। ତାଙ୍କ ଘର ଦଶପଲ୍ଲା ଢିପିସାହିରେ। ତାଙ୍କ ନାଁ ସରୋଜ ନାୟକ ବୋଲି ଜଣାପଡିଛି। ପରିବାର ସହ ନରସିଂହପୁର ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ଏକ ଦଶାହ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ଘରକୁ ଫେରିବା ବାଟରେ ସେତୁ ଉପରୁ ପରିବାର ସହ ଫଟୋ ଉଠାଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ହଠାତ ତଳକୁ ଗଳିପଡ଼ିଥିଲେ। ଖବର ପାଇ ବାଲିଝରି ଅଗ୍ନିଶମ ବାହିନୀ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ଉଦ୍ଧାର ଚଳାଇଥିଲେ ବି ପତ୍ତା ମିଳିନାହିଁ।...ସେହିପରି ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁର ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରାବତୀ ନଦୀରେ ବି ସମାନ ଅଘଟଣ। ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ପରିବାର ସହ ଆସିଥିବା ଜଣେ ମହିଳା ସେଲ୍ଫି ନେବା ସମୟରେ ଭରା ନଦୀକୁ ଖସିପଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି।ନିଖୋଜ ମହିଳା ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁର ମେଦିରିସାହିର। ଏ ସଂପର୍କରେ ଥାନାରେ ମହିଳାଙ୍କ ଭାଇ ଲିଖିତ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ପରେ ଅନ୍ଧାର ହୋଇଯିବାରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥଗିତ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ପୁଣି ନଦୀରେ ଖୋଜାଖୋଜି କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ସୂଚନା ମିଳିଛି।...

Amid heavy rain and flooding, two separate selfie-related incidents have been reported in Odisha. In Cuttack’s Narasinghpur, a youth identified as Saroj Nayak from Dhipisahi in Dasapalla reportedly fell from the Sidhamula bridge while taking a photograph with his family and remains missing. The Balijhari Fire Services team launched a rescue operation but could not trace him. In Nabarangpur, a woman reportedly fell into the swollen Indravati River while taking a selfie with her family to watch the floodwater. Her brother has lodged a written complaint with the police, while the search operation was suspended after dark and is scheduled to resume tomorrow.
