Moquim’s Remark on Sofia Firdous’ Future Draws Counter From Bhakta Das

ବାପା ମହମ୍ମଦ ମୋକିମ୍ କ’ଣ କହିଲେ, ସେ ଉପରେ ବେଶି କିଛି କହିବାର ନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଝିଅ ସୋଫିଆ କିଛି କହିନାହାନ୍ତି। ସେ ଆଜି ବି କଂଗ୍ରେସ ବିଧାୟକ। କଟକ-ବାରବାଟୀ ବିଧାୟିକା ସୋଫିଆ ଫିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଶ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ଛାଡ଼ି ୨୦୨୯ରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଜନତା କଂଗ୍ରେସରୁ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ଲଢ଼ିବେ ବୋଲି OJC ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ତଥା ବାପା ମୋକିମଙ୍କ ବୟାନ ପରେ ଆଜି ଏଭଳି କାଉଣ୍ଟର କରିଛନ୍ତି ପିସିସି ସଭାପତି ଭକ୍ତଚରଣ ଦାସ। କହିଛନ୍ତି, ୨୦୨୯ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ବହୁ ଡେରି ଅଛି। ଆଜିଠୁ କାହିଁକି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଉଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ଝିଅ କେଉଁ ଦଳରୁ ଲଢ଼ିବ ? ସୋଫିଆ କହିପାରିବେ କି, ସେ କଂଗ୍ରେସ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ନଥିଲେ ? ଯଦି ଏଭଳି ଭାବୁଛନ୍ତି ତାହେଲେ ତୁରନ୍ତ ଇସ୍ତଫା ଦେଇ ନିର୍ବାଚନକୁ ଯାଆନ୍ତୁ ଆଉ କୁହନ୍ତୁ ଆମେ କଂଗ୍ରେସରେ ନାହୁଁ। ଆଗକୁ ଏନେଇ ହାଇକମାଣ୍ଡଙ୍କୁ ଅବଗତ କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ପିସିସି ସଭାପତି। ତେବେ ଏନେଇ ସୋଫିଆଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ମିଳିପାରିନି।

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Bhakta Charan Das has responded to Odisha Janata Congress chief and former Cuttack-Barabati MLA Mohammad Moquim’s statement that his daughter and sitting Congress MLA Sofia Firdous would contest the 2029 Odisha Assembly election from OJC. Bhakta Das said Sofia Firdous has not made any such statement and remains a Congress MLA. Questioning why a decision about the 2029 election was being announced now, he said that if there is a decision to leave Congress, the matter should be made clear. Bhakta Das also said the issue would be brought to the party high command. No reaction has been received from Sofia Firdous so far.
