With no farmland, 72-year-old Digar anjan Das has turned his rooftop in Shastri Nagar, Bhubaneswar, into a thriving garden. Originally from Kalyanpur in Jajpur, Digar anjan took voluntary retirement from the Finance Department of Bhubaneswar IDC, where he worked as a manager. After retirement, his interest in agriculture has turned into a passion, and he now spends his mornings and evenings tending to his rooftop garden. His wife, Bijayalakshmi, helps by watering the plants, while Digar anjan removes weeds by hand and takes care of the plants. Together, the couple is nurturing their green dream right on their rooftop.
