The Odisha Assembly’s Monsoon Session concluded amid uproar and disruptions. In view of the flood situation in the state, the government’s Chief Whip moved a motion to adjourn the Assembly, which was supported by MLAs Upasana Mahapatra and Laxman Bag. The Speaker later announced the Assembly’s adjournment sine die. Of the nine scheduled working days, the Assembly functioned for only five days, during which four Bills were passed.
