Orange Alert for 6 Odisha Districts as Extremely Heavy Rain Forecast in Next 24 Hours

ବୌଦ୍ଧରୁ ବରଗଡ଼...ସମ୍ବଲପୁରରୁ ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ଼ । ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଓଡି଼ଶାରେ ସାଂଘାତିକ ବର୍ଷା । ଆସନ୍ତା ୨୪ ଘଣ୍ଟାରେ ଅତିପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ନେଇ ୬ ଜିଲ୍ଲାକୁ ଅରେଞ୍ଜ ୱାର୍ଣ୍ଣିଂ ଜାରି କରିଛି ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ପାଣିପାଗ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର। ବରଗଡ଼, ସୋନପୁର, ବୌଦ୍ଧ, ସମ୍ବଲପୁର, ଝାରସୁଗୁଡା ଓ ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡକୁ ଜାରି ହୋଇଛି ଅରେଞ୍ଜ ଆଲର୍ଟ । ଏହି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ୧୨ରୁ ୨୦ ସେଣ୍ଟିମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବର୍ଷା ହେବ । ସେହିଭଲି ବାକି ୨୪ ଜିଲ୍ଲାକୁ ଜାରି ହୋଇଛି ୟେଲୋ ଆଲର୍ଟ । ତେବେ ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲିଠୁ ବର୍ଷା ସାମାନ୍ୟ ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇବ । ୨୫ ଓ ୨୬ ତାରିଖରେ ଉତ୍ତର ଓ ଉପକୂଳ ଓଡି଼ଶାର କିଛି କିଛି ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ହାଲୁକା ବର୍ଷା ହେବାର ସମ୍ଭାବନା ରହିଛି। ସେହିଭଳି ୨୭ ଓ ୨୮ ତାରିଖରେ ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ, କେନ୍ଦୁଝର, ମୟୂରଭଞ୍ଜରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ନେଇ ୟେଲୋ ଆଲର୍ଟ ଜାରି କରିଛି ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ପାଣିପାଗ ବିଭାଗ ।

The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued an orange warning for six districts of western Odisha, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours. Bargarh, Subarnapur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh are expected to receive 12 to 20 cm of rainfall. A yellow warning has been issued for the remaining 24 districts. Rainfall is expected to decrease slightly from tomorrow, while some districts of northern and coastal Odisha may receive light rain on August 25 and 26. A yellow alert has also been issued for Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj for August 27 and 28.
