A death case in Puri district has taken a new turn after the family of Alok Bhoi alleged that he was murdered over an idol-smuggling video. Alok, a resident of Alashankha village under Ramachandi Police Station in Gop block, was found seriously injured near his motorcycle while returning from Gop Melan. He later died at Puri District Headquarters Hospital, while his friend Rashmi Ranjan Kandi was shifted to Bhubaneswar for treatment.
