Unknown Vehicle Runs Over Snack Vendor, Drags Him For 1 Km In Bargarh

ଠେଲା ଦୋକାନ ଉପରେ ଗାଡି ଚଢିଗଲା। ପରେ ଦୋକାନୀଙ୍କୁ ୧ କିଲୋମିଟର ଯାଏ ଘୋଷାଡି ନେଲା। ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଛି ବରଗଡ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଅତାବିରା ଲାଦେରପାଲି ଛକରେ। ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ ଜଣେ ଜଳଖିଆ ବିକାଳୀଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ହୋଇଛି। ମୃତକ ହେଲେ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବସନ୍ତ ଚୌଧୁରୀ l ସୂଚନା ଅନୁସାରେ ଜଳଖିଆ ଠେଲା ଧରି ଘରକୁ ଫେରିବା ବେଳେ ଏକ ଅଜଣା ଗାଡ଼ି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଧକ୍କା ଦେଇଥିଲା। ପରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୧ କିଲୋମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଘୋଷାଡ଼ି ନେଇ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରୁ ଫେରାର ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲା। ଘଟଣା ପରେ ମୃତକଙ୍କ ପରିବାର ଓ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକେ ଶବ ରଖି ରାସ୍ତାରୋକ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଫଳରେ ରାସ୍ତାର ଉଭୟ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୨ କିଲୋମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶତାଧିକ ଗାଡ଼ି ଅଟକି ରହିଛି। ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ଅତାବିରା ପୁଲିସ ପହଞ୍ଚି ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଲୋଚନା କରୁଥିବା ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଛି।

A snack vendor died after an unknown vehicle allegedly hit his roadside pushcart and dragged him for around one kilometre at Laderpali Chhak in Attabira, Bargarh district. The deceased has been identified as local resident Basant Choudhury. According to reports, he was returning home with his snack cart when the unidentified vehicle hit him and fled the spot after dragging him for nearly one kilometre. Following the incident, the deceased’s family and local residents staged a road blockade by placing the body on the road. Hundreds of vehicles were reportedly stranded on both sides of the road for around two kilometres. Attabira Police reached the spot and were holding discussions with the protesters.
