Third Gate of Rengali Dam Opened as Brahmani River Swells, Flood Fears Rise

ଫୁଲୁଛି ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ... ଉଚ୍ଛୁଳୁଛି ରେଙ୍ଗାଳି ଡ୍ୟାମ୍। ଖୋଲିଲା ଡ୍ୟାମର ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗେଟ୍। ଏବେ ୩ଟି ଗେଟ୍ ଦେଇ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ହେଉଛି ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ। ଉପର ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ବଢୁଛି ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ପୂର୍ବରୁ ରେଙ୍ଗାଳି ଡ୍ୟାମର ୮ ଓ ୧୦ ନମ୍ୱର୍ ଗେଟ ଦେଇ ଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ହେଉଥିଲା। ହେଲେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବାରୁ ଆଜି ୯ ନମ୍ୱର୍ ଗେଟ୍ ଖୋଲାଯାଇଛି।

Flood concerns have intensified in areas downstream of the Brahmani River after another gate of the Rengali Dam was opened. At present, floodwater is being released through three gates of the dam. Heavy rainfall in the upper catchment area has caused the river's water level to rise significantly. Earlier, water was being discharged through Gates No. 8 and 10. However, with the continued increase in the water level, Gate No. 9 was opened today to regulate the flow.
