TB Cases Rise in Koraput, Fear Grows Beyond Mining Areas

ଖଣି ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପରେ ଏବେ ସମତଳରେ ଆତଙ୍କ। ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ ବଢିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି ରୋଗୀଙ୍କ ସଂଖ୍ୟା । ଯକ୍ଷ୍ମା ନିରାକରଣ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଶାସନର ଉଦ୍ୟମ । ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ କୋରାପୁଟରେ ବଢିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି ଯକ୍ଷ୍ମା ରୋଗୀଙ୍କ ସଂଖ୍ୟା। ଖଣି ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ପ୍ରାୟତଃ ଏହି ସଂଖ୍ୟା ଅଧିକ ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ଏବେ ସମତଳ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବି କାୟା ବିସ୍ତାର କରିବାରେ ଲାଗିଛି । ଫଳରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଭୟର ବାତାବରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି । ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ମୋଟ ୧୨୮୧ ଜଣ ଟିବିରେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ୧୨୬୧ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଡିଟିସି ପାଇଁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରାଯାଇଛି ।

Fear is growing over tuberculosis in Koraput as the number of TB patients continues to rise. While mining areas have traditionally reported higher cases, the disease is now spreading to plain areas as well, creating concern among locals. A total of 1,281 people in the district have been affected by TB, while 1,261 have been identified for DTC.
